This Privacy Policy explains how TCG Gem collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit the website, create an account, or use collection and pricing features. It does not govern third-party websites or services linked from TCG Gem.

We collect information in the following categories:

• Account information: your name, email address, authentication credentials, account creation date, and account role. Passwords are handled by the authentication system and are not displayed to TCG Gem staff.
• Collection information: the cards and sets you add, quantities, whether an entry was scanned or added manually, and related timestamps.
• Approximate location: city and country derived from network request information when an account is created and when you sign in. TCG Gem does not request precise GPS location.
• Usage and device information: page views, routes, referrers, timestamps, approximate region, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel Web Analytics provides this data in aggregated form and does not use third-party analytics cookies.
• Communications: information you choose to include when you contact TCG Gem or submit feedback.

TCG Gem uses information to:

• create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts;
• save and display your card collection;
• operate, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
• understand aggregated traffic and feature usage;
• respond to support, privacy, and feedback requests;
• detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, or unlawful activity; and
• comply with applicable law and enforce the Terms of Service.

TCG Gem uses an essential session cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated. Blocking or deleting that cookie may sign you out or prevent account features from working.

The website also uses browser local storage to remember navigation and scroll positions. Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate traffic without third-party analytics cookies and does not identify visitors across different websites or days.

TCG Gem does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed:

• to service providers that operate the website, including Vercel for hosting and analytics and Convex for database and authentication infrastructure;
• when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request;
• to protect users, TCG Gem, or the public from fraud, abuse, security threats, or harm; or
• as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Account and collection information is generally retained while your account remains active. TCG Gem may retain information longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted or de-identified.

You may review account information from the Account page and control whether your browser accepts the essential session cookie, although refusing it will limit account features.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection relating to personal information. You may submit a request through the Contact page. TCG Gem may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may retain information when permitted or required by law.

TCG Gem uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Keep your password confidential and notify TCG Gem if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

TCG Gem is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account or provide personal information. If TCG Gem learns that personal information was collected from a child under 13, it will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact TCG Gem.

TCG Gem and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data protection laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers.

TCG Gem may link to marketplaces, retailers, data sources, or other websites. Those third parties control their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.

This policy may be updated as TCG Gem changes or as legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date and, when appropriate, by providing an additional notice on the website or by email.
